So here they are!
In my last post, Making something special.., I spoke about how I was making some special items for family this year.
I made some Christmas ornaments for the grandparents (Grandma and Nana both got the handprints….) and then my grandfather (daughter’s great-grandfather) and my brother both got the T ornaments.
I really wish that I had taken a picture of them painted because they looked so cool.
Now, I did also do some little gingerbread men ones for my family to announce my pregnancy. I painted them pink and blue and got some tags and wrote on them that we were expecting. I was very nervous about these for a couple of reasons.
One, I didn’t know how exactly I felt announcing it at nearly 9 weeks but everything seems to be relatively okay at the moment and two, I didn’t know how people would take it. I mean, I have not long had my second miscarriage and it’s very soon so yeah, I did worry. On the day though it went down well, although I don’t think grandma (my partners mum) read the tag, I think she just thought it was another gift from my daughter.
All in all though, a successfully handmade Christmas present stash and I think next year, we can try and outdo it…. we shall just have to wait and see.
